Why: exhaust the limits of the possible

What: training for Ironman UK 2022

How: focus, engage, inspire

Bio: 46, lead practitioner, coach, dad.

I’m fascinated by the untold stories of greatness that we all have within. I’m driven to understand how we can all, through movement, find our way to become all that we are meant to be. It is that better version of myself that I strive to find each day through swimming, cycling, or running. I don’t believe that we are meant to live our lives in a haze of doubt, uncertainty, anxiety and depression. It’s sad that many of us do; I know that for most of my first 40 years I did. I also know that through exercise, through exhaustion, through simply moving forward that there is a happier, more fulfilling way to live.

As a Chair of Governors and a teacher, I am convinced that organisations can adopt a similar mindset and move relentlessly towards excellence.

My hope for this site is to use it as a space to reflect on this ongoing journey towards a greater sense of fulfilment. In doing so, I hope to inspire or at least allow the reader to reflect on the way in which they think about their own limits. I believe that we can exhaust the limits of what is possible if we are brave enough to step out and keep moving forwards. A new life is within all of our grasps if we want it badly enough.

I did want change badly enough. My blog is a record of some of what I’ve learned along the way.

Thanks for being here.
